Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships

The Uehiro Oxford Institute invites expressions of interest from postdoctoral scholars who wish to apply to the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships scheme. Expressions of interest are due by Monday 7th December 2026.

Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships are aimed at early career researchers with a research record but who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post, and enables them to undertake a significant piece of publishable work. Fellowships are tenable for 3 years on a full-time basis, extendable pro rata to accommodate health, disability or childcare commitments. More information about the scheme is available on the Leverhulme Trust website. The 2026/7 scheme will open on the 1st January 2027, with a funder deadline of 18th February 2027. There are strict eligibility requirements and potential candidates are advised to check these carefully.

Candidates who would like to apply for a Leverhulme Trust ECF award in the field of practical ethics and cognate subjects with Uehiro Oxford Institute as the host institution are asked to submit an Expression of Interest form to the Research Office by 7th December 2026. It is recommended that candidates approach a mentor within the UOI to support their application well in advance of the deadline. Short listed applicants will be invited to interview.

There is no guarantee that applications arriving after the deadline date will be processed. Please direct any questions to the Research Office.
