Prof. Dr. Beatrix Busse is Professor of English Linguistics and Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies at the University of Cologne (Germany). She is Coordinator and Chief Development Officer of the European University for Well-Being (EUniWell) and the Erasmus+ Teacher Education Academy “Teacher Education for a Future in a Flux”. She is Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the Coimbra Group and chair of the FOREU4ALL board, which represents all 65 European Universities Alliances.
Beatrix Busse was full professor of English linguistics at Heidelberg University from 2011-2020. From 2013 to 2019 Beatrix Busse also held the position of Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching at Heidelberg University. She is the Co-Founder of the Heidelberg School of Education and was a founding member of the DFG-funded research training group “Authority and Trust in American Culture, Society, History and Politics.” Beatrix Busse is Visiting Fellow of the British Academy and is Honorary Research Fellow at Glasgow University. She is the reviews editor of the International Journal of Corpus Linguistics.
Beatrix Busse’s scholarly interests include the history of English, stylistics, corpus linguistics, language in urban space, well-being, and AI in education.
