Louis Longin is an assistant professor at the faculty of Philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich, Germany. His works focuses on privacy norms and data ethics. This includes theoretical work on data privacy and empirical work on the impact of social information on individual decision-making. Previous work has focused on the social role of AI advisors, co-perception, and sensory augmentation. His work has been published in journals such as iScience, Consciousness & Cognition, and Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews: Cognitive Science. During his visit at Uehiro Oxford Institute, he will explore the impact of emerging neurotechnology (mobile EEG, eye tracking) on individual mental privacy.
