Mareike Thomas holds a Master`s degree in Psychology (2017) and a PhD (2022) in Medical Psychology from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. She works as a fellow at Medical University Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and is the Co-Head of the Research Group Psycho-Oncology. She has worked clinically as a neuropsychologist in neurosurgery and has experience in neuropsychological monitoring of awake craniotomies. She is also a behavioural cognitive therapy trainee and is currently researching complementary medical care for cancer patients.
Mareike is particularly interested in end-of-life decision-making, assisted dying and well-being in chronic pain patients.
