Yoshiki is a PhD student in philosophy at Hokkaido University in Japan. His PhD project aims to elaborate a form of Scanlonian principle-contractualism. His main research interests are in moral theory and the aim of moral theorising. During his visit, while continuing his research in these areas, he plans to develop his interests in Sidgwick and also to research individuals' moral obligation under pandemic.
Yoshiki holds an MA in Philosophy from Hokkaido University in Japan and a BA in Education from Tokyo Gakugei University. He was also a visiting research student at Queen's University in Canada from September 2022 to August 2023.
