Driven by a lifelong passion for philosophy and a deep curiosity about real-world ethical issues, Abi graduated with first-class honours in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (BA Hons) from Durham University, UK. Her undergraduate thesis explored notions of forwards- and backwards-looking collective moral responsibility and different attempts to resolve the resulting responsibility gaps. Abi plans to further explore these gaps during her MSt, with another particular interest in the ethical challenges posed by Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems in warfare, using a Just War Theory framework. Alongside her studies, Abi is building a career in equality, diversity, and inclusion as an Inclusion Coordinator at QBE Europe, and in her free time, she enjoys studying French, painting and live music.
Special interests include: collective moral responsibility, moral responsibility gaps, AI ethics in warfare (LAWS)
